Who should win the race for republican candidacy and why?

First, I haven't seen any debate. the reason must be CNN's privacy policy. Or perhaps they are ashamed of Ron Paul. Or it is simply, the different timezone i live in. BUT...
The tax-plans of Gingrich and Romney are the same to me. Romneys tax rate last year was 15 %!!!. Under a socialistic pres. like Obama it's a miracle. The normal poor american pays between 30 and 60 % taxes, I guess. Now if Gingrich, like Romney, plans to cut taxes for the richest, it will end up in a desaster. (I stole this from the Washington Post) The american voters want real solutions, not just tax-bribes or unclearlyness. And therefore i think the candidate who wins the republican candidacy this way has very low chances to get elected for president against a reasonable, false president Obama.
